Description: Determined to solve the coincidence of seeing the same conspicuous stranger three times in a day, Albert hires a pair of existentialist detectives, who insist on spying on his everyday life while sharing their views on life and the nature of the universe.
Descrierea: Bernard si Vivian Jaffe sunt un cuplu casatorit care conduce o agentie speciala de detectivi, in care analizeaza temeinic vietile clientilor sai, pentru a descoperi sursa depresiilor lor. Cel mai recent client al sotilor Jaffe este Albert Markovski, un activist pentru protejarea mediului cu mari probleme pe cap. Studiul acestora ii aduce pe Bernard si Vivian la Brad Stand, un PR care detine mai multe magazine de succes, numite Huckabees. Desi in mod public acesta sustine intiativele pentru protejarea mediului ale lui Albert, Brad a gasit locatia pentru deschiderea unui nou magazin, fara a se gandi la consecintele deloc ecologice ale constructiei. Dupa ce afla ca este urmarit de detectivii Jaffe, el vrea sa ii atraga de partea sa si ii angajeaza pentru el. Acest plan are insa consecinte neasteptate, iar descoperirile detectivilor o fac pe iubita lui Brad, modelul Dawn, sa isi analizeze viata si relatiile si sa faca schimbari majore. Intre timp, Albert isi uneste fortele cu Tommy, pompier si activist, care nu este de acod cu ideile si metodele aplicate de Bernard si Vivian, in urma unei investigatii de lunga durata. El este indragostit de poetul si filosoful Caterine Vauban.
